Update on long lost Raz

Last night we were strolling through the neighborhood (all 4 of us) and we saw our little friend, don't know his name but the little boy (probably 4) that loves Blue and rides his bike with mom and dad in the afternoons,  in his front yard holding something little and furry. Ry and I looked at each other and both thought he had found Raz. Without saying it, we both had decided he could keep the kitty. BUT when we got a good look at the kitty, it was clearly not Raz ... a boy and not as cute. So, I'm declaring Raz officially gone and no longer the newest member of the Berry family! Poor Raz ... we miss her!

A New Toy

Monday, we were at Wal-Mart and while I was looking for something in the baby aisle, Ryan was testing toys out on Truett. He came aross this Bright Starts travel activity set and said, "He loves this! We need to get him one!" which I followed with, "We have one in the top of my closet. I just haven't put it on his carseat yet because he wasn't really ready for it and now that he has been for a few weeks, I didn't think about it." So, Truett is getting really good at playing with his new toy! Thanks, Bebe and Pops!

A Big Weekend

I'm sure most people get all geared up for a big, holiday weekend intentionally. We both had fun weekends but we spent it apart. Ryan went down to his parent's in New Hebron while Truett and I enjoyed a little time at Mimi and Pop's. Ryan's dad celebrated his birthday on Thursday, the 21st, and my mom on Sunday, the 24th. So, it worked out perfect or us to share some time with them.
Truett and I headed to Kosciusko after GHS graduation Friday night, and knew we were in for a wild day with Mimi and Pop. They are on the go and with our little feeding schedule, I didn't want to slow them down. That we did not. It all worked out perfectly and we had a super fun, tiring day ... Get up eat, get ready, eat, ride to jackson, eat, enjoy the Richardson/Harbarger wedding, eat, reception, go to Pelahatchie to meet great-grandfather, eat, go to Pelahatchie Lake to visit the Rawson's at their camper, eat, head back to Mimi and Pop's...WHEW!!! It was a great day and everything really did work out great! Can you tell I wasn't so sure how it would all go?

Where is our little Raz?

Ryan has been at his parent's and Truett and me at mine since Friday. The word from our friend Laura Beth who has been feeding Raz is that she is nowhere to be found! While I'm not surprised, it's still a little sad. :) Maybe she'll show up! Lord knows she needed a car to sleep in and our's are both gone!HA! Sorry for the crazy cat, LB! You're the best to keep looking!

Psycho designer in me

As you may have noticed, I'm a little blog design obsessed! This is one reason I have been hesitant to start a blog. I would really love to design my own since that's what I do, but that's going to take some time ... working on figuring that out for someone else first.
So, now I've also changed our blog name. If you like the new one or have a clever suggestion (Courtney G.) let me know. Berries on the Vine ... not working for me! HA!

THREE Months Old

Someone in the Berry house is growing up!! Today at 4:13 p.m., marks week 12 of our little man's life outside the womb. It's hard to believe it's been this long but also seems like he's always been with us. We're discovering new things. Truett loves the sound of his voice and when he gets going, he doesn't stop. It's the cutest thing! He's a great baby - sleeping through the night, smiling all the time and so laid back.
So, here's to 3 months! We love you, little man and are in awe of how the Lord has blessed us.

A Date and a Babysitter

Yesterday at lunch, Ryan asked me out on a date. Of course, I was excited but after saying YES!!!, my first thought was, what about Truett? My sweet man had already taken care of it and asked sweet Kayla to come keep him while we went to dinner. Kayla is one of "my high school girls" as I like to call them and absolutely LOVES Truett. So, I knew she was super excited as was I - an hour out with just me and my husband while our FIRST babysitter stayed with our little man.
We had a fun time. We went to a little place downtown - Orleans Bistro - where they have great food. Ryan remembered how much I enjoyed it a week or so before Truett was born when he took me there for a big juicy steak! I will have to say that the steak was better than my lemon pepper catfish last night, but Ryan's company far exceeding everything! There was a moment during our meal that he was telling me something and I just zoned out feeling like we were on a date before we got married! Such a good feeling when you have a 3 month old at home and you're celebrating your 2nd anniversary! I love that man!
So, Kayla survived with Truett! She even got to change his diaper! Sorry, girl! I decided that we needed to document his first babysitter! Thanks, Kayla!

Please excuse the Pacimal! Truett was screaming his head off but we had to have the picture.

The Beginning of Another Great Year

Well, I'm doing it — starting a berry crew blog! I only found it appropriate to debut it today — our 2nd Anniversary! What a year! And how blessed I am to have such an amazing man in my life. He is everything to me – he's my love, my provider, my best friend and now the father of our sweet baby boy! This thing called marriage is an amazing journey and I'm so glad to be sharing it with him. I love you, babe!
